We are a group of individuals living in around the Nagoya, Japan area who are interested in Apple and Macintosh computers. We gather on the 3rd Saturday of every month to discuss things happening in and around the world of Apple. Come join us, everyone is welcome!
----What is the club’s purpose?
Nagoya is a rather computer friendly city. There are 2 major areas of the city where one can buy computer products. But, what if you’re a Macintosh users? Where can you go? Who can you ask? Is this optical drive compatible with my Mac? What about PC hard disks? Where can I get software? We’re here to help and to get together with others who use & love the Macintosh platform.
Who can join?
Anyone! Whether you have a Mac, or are thinking of getting a Mac, come and join us. We promise, you’ll learn a lot.
Can I join even if I don’t know anything about Macs?Absolutely. There are people of all experience ranges. We’re always looking for new members.
How do I join?Just come to one of our meetings. If you want to be a part of our mailing list, just leave us your email address.
What are the benefits of becoming a member? There are currently NO other English-language, Macintosh based user groups in the Chubu area. This is a great chance to meet other local Macintosh users, network, make friends, learn things you didn’t know about the platform and so much more.
Do I have to participate in the discussions? You don’t have to, but as the saying goes: “The more, the merrier.” We will most likely ask you to introduce yourself.
Can I do a presentation?Yes! New people are always encouraged to help us make this user group stronger & better. If you have an idea, bring it to one of the executives. We usually choose our topics beforehand, but anyone can present.
Can I have my computer fixed? If it’s a PowerBook or iBook, bring it in if it’s not too much trouble. One of us just might be able to work some magic. Please contact us ahead of time if it’s a desktop/tower/etc. as they can be cumbersome to bring along. Even if we can’t fix it, we may be able to offer some advice as to where you can go to get it fixed.
