Building a PC

Alex toggled between the program he was demoing and PowerPoint. Each slide ended with directions like "Demo: Option Drag," Smooth presentation technique.

Jeff's presentation was only 40 minutes long ("nice and short"), but packed with info and very well received. Narrated photo essays seem well adapted for NIPCC.

Display:

Shooter's plasma display has, on its front, plugs for s-video and the 3 RCA "composite" inputs (This means iBooks and iPods should be able to display, given the
appropriate cables.)

Menu and Dialog font is (painfully) readable; PowerPoint looks great. Most computers will letterbox on the widescreen display. =(

Funds:

There was some support for the idea of paying presenters in free Shooter's lunches, but we still don't know how much to charge members (if anything).
